SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS 2026 NRL MENS ALTERNATE JERSEY
A jersey stitched from the streets that made the Rabbitohs. An Ode to Redfern.
This jersey represents Redfern, the spiritual home of the Rabbitohs, and honours club legend and local hero Nathan Merritt. One of South Sydney’s all-time leading try scorers, Nathan created countless memorable moments throughout his career, including standout performances in the ACT.
The design is deeply grounded in Redfern, featuring shoulder stripes inspired by the Redfern All Blacks and detailing drawn from the textures of Redfern Station —connecting the jersey to community, culture and heritage.
This is a purpose-driven initiative to celebrate a champion, support his family, and honour the place that shaped him.
To be worn by the Rabbitohs NRL team in round 20 of 2026 against the Canberra Raiders as an Alternate Jersey.
Design Inspiration:
- The colours of the jersey pull directly from Redfern station, a place connecting all of the South Sydney.
- Tiling from Redfern station forms rows in ‘Marches On’ printed fabric pattern and stripes on jacquard cuffs/collar.
- Stripes locked up in front yoke replicate the 2002 Rabbitohs Away Jersey
- Stripes on the sleeves are a nod to the Redfern All-Blacks.
